Why foundation operations need one workspace

A foundation is run on decisions, money, and follow-up. In practice those often live apart: applications in email and folders, payouts in the bank, verifications with the accounting firm, and the annual report in yet another track. Every handoff costs time and raises the chance that evidence goes missing.

When the board asks how much was paid out this year, or whether tax exemption still looks sound, the answer should not require three export files and a consulting hour. It should be possible to open the workspace and see what is actually saved.

Klara Stiftelsesystem gathers that work in one organization: applications, a thin bookkeeping module suited to foundations without heavy commercial activity, and a path toward annual reporting. The goal is not a full SME accounting suite. The goal is that someone without an accounting background can run day-to-day administration, and that an external firm can take over where needed through clear export paths.

We build with people who administer foundations in Sweden. That means we prefer a simple, honest surface over a dashboard of figures that cannot be traced back to posted ledger entries.
